So, basically "The Greatest Showman" covered the life of P. T. Barnum, his life, and how he developed his circus. It is done so in an extremely colourful, musical, energetic way, and just wow.

Plot: The plot was well-thought-out, didn't leave any loose ends, and somehow tied everything in. There were some plot elements that didn't add anything, but didn't take away anything either (and aren't those in every movie?). So I guess those were fine. They did a wonderful job with the setting of the 1800s and modern elements. I was actually surprised with how wonderful the plot was!

Cast:
Hugh Jackman was, of course, spectacular. I think he may just be my new favorite actor. Not to mention his amazing voice!! Ahh!! Zac Efron has moved on from High School Musical and I actually really liked him and his singing (he actually sang this time). I love Zendaya, so of course I loved her singing and dancing. My only complaint was Jenny Lind. She was supposed to be the "Swedish Nightingale" and yet she was British, had red hair, and didn't sing opera. Ummm... But otherwise, A+ on casting.

Music:
The lyricist also wrote La La Land, but this movie had much better music in my opinion. It's definitely modern, which I don't usually prefer, but this was done in a really classy way. The songs gave me chills and like I said previously, they were so, so powerful. I wished for more dancing/choreography, but I ALWAYS wish for that, so it wasn't a big deal. A+ on music as well!

Come to think of it, I can't think of a lot that I disliked! Other than the fact that the Swedish opera singer was, well, not a Swedish opera singer, I absolutely loved everything about it.

I highly recommend this movie if you love musicals, dancing, colourful cinematography, romance, and pretty much happiness in general.

Fun fact: Zendaya and Zac Eron did all of the aerial stunts without nets (harnesses were used for certain stunts) in the final film!

*Warning- the side effects include almost crying, sudden chills, and a sudden urge to perform in every and any show you can find*

Live long and prosper and ANYONE WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE WITH ME AGAIN??
