Pride and Prejudice Thoughts

And just like that, it's over.
After all we put into Pride and Prejudice, that's it.
The emotion, time, tears, late nights, memorization, and work that we put into that show was beyond belief. And yet I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Despite all the hard times, the amount that we got out of it was amazing.
We all grew so much closer, suffered through tech week together, encouraged each other between performances, and somehow got through that emotional weekend.
Don't ask how we pulled that off. Heh.

But the after-play feeling is FINALLY kicking in. Now that I've gotten over the exhaustion, I'm starting to question my existence. What is life? Why on Earth are we here?

In the wake of all these emotions, I haven't even had time to think about Christmas. And it's on Sunday. Oh dear!

Anywho, please enjoy our crazy picture. We took it during intermission during the first performance (hence how expressive and excited we are). XD

(Please ignore JoJo's dabbing...)

Live long and prosper and thanks to all of you for helping me get through that crazy weekend!!!

Dance! Again...

Hullo!
As some of you may know, I've been Kpop dancing a LOT lately (yay!). But not many of you have actually seen any of it! So..... Drumroll please......

I POSTED A VIDEO BELOW! Let me know what you think!

Disclaimer: I don't know it very well, so I glance at the laptop screen a few times throughout the video. Also, adding to that thought, it's not polished AT ALL yet, so it's really sloppy and fairly energy-less. Heh. That being said, it's the most fun dance I've learned yet, so do enjoy!

Live long and prosper and DANCE!!!

The Night Before Finals

The Night Before Finals
By Sherlock Holmes and John Watson

'Twas the night before finals and all through our home,
every child was studying in their rooms all alone.
They put up a tree as the weekend was ending, "We don't have a final!" (Well, here's to pretending.)

The children were nestled all snug on their beds,
as visions of failing grades tormented their heads.
And I with two textbooks, my sister with three,
were typing in numbers, "Hey, 80's a B!"

When out in the living room there arose such a clatter,
we leapt from our beds, reciting Conservation of Matter.
Away from the window, the dog chased the cat (Wyka).
(That's in-text citation. APA format).

The laptops were shining on papers below,
as they looked out the window longingly at the snow.
And what to my long-tired eyes did appear? "What is the pressure of three atmospheres?"

I emailed my teacher, hoping it wasn't too late,
then I made myself busy, awaiting my fate.
Oh, why did I slack on Assignment fifteen? To avoid lethal dosage of my dear friend, caffeine.

"It's seven o'clock," the computer screen said. "And your final's tomorrow." I couldn't shake off the dread.
One more time, through my flashcards again. I did need my sleep, I couldn't stay up 'till ten.

The semester is over, and the end is in sight. Happy finals to all, and to all a good night!

Special thanks to Sherlock for taking off precious study time to write this with me!
Good luck everyone!!

Fighting!

Finals...

I'm sitting in the school library, listening to the deafening silence, and avoiding studying for my math final. Ugh. The end of this semester is so close! I can see the finish line. IT'S RIGHT THERE! And yet here I am. Not wanting to relearn the math I'm been slaving over all semester.

It's hard not to have the mindset of just wanting the semester to be over, and not caring about the final. After all, it's only 20% of the grade. However, it must be done. The studying, the lack of sleep, the figurative and very literal tears that go into one test. At least it's not stressful! *insert sarcasm here*

Throw in about a gallon of coffee, and that's what my weekend will look like.

If you need me, I'll be in my room.

Trying to make it through this final.

And daydreaming about approximately 10:00 on Monday when I'll officially be free from this semester.
화이팅!
(Fighting!)
Live long and prosper for me, because I may not make it through this weekend.

Minecraft!!

(Not very) little known fact about me: I am a Minecraft lover.

It all started when Noah played, quite a few years back, on a friend's account. He got his own shortly after, and the friend's account was passed on to Gideon. As expected, he became obsessed with every little aspect of the game. How could I not be involved in something that my little brother loved so much? So I watched, learned how to play a bit, and ended up kinda playing off and on. Of course, he encouraged me to watch him and I tried to play whenever I could.

Fast forward a few years, and my mom mentioned something about Minecraft Homeschool. A cool idea! I decided to try out one of the many classes that were offered, and signed up for my own account. Since then, I've been hooked!

What is the appeal of Minecraft? Why has it become a game that SO many kids (and adults) play? Well, I can't really pinpoint it. Perhaps the survival aspect? Or the chance to blow villages up with TNT and very little consequences (this is enough of a reason so play, tbh)? For me personally, I LOVE designing things. Every little contraption and color and block placement. Working with redstone and making cool contraptions such as elevators and secret doors behind fireplaces is just about my favorite part.

Back to my Minecraft backstory. As I said previously, it didn't take long for me to be completely hooked. Gideon and I were having conversations that any mere mortal would be terribly confused to walk in on. It was great.

But then..............

MULTIPLAYER!

Yep. We discovered multiplayer. A whole new world of possibilities! Our most epic multiplayer game is one that's been going for a few years now. We're currently living very comfortably in a 20-something floor skyscraper that includes a build-in two-layer farm and an emergency zombie escape shelter. Around the time that we started multiplayer, Gideon introduced me to skins (the appearance of your character). I was Hermione for a while, and have decided that Aayla Secura is a little more fitting...

More recently, I haven't had much time to play, save the 10 minutes here and there between homework. However, this evening was mostly spent helping Gideon download mods (modifications) to his account; something that we've been trying to do for a VERY long time. But we finally got it! Yay! I was able to download 2 different ones that are compatible with each other, and also gave myself the "Sister of the Year" award. Not even joking. XD

So hopefully I'll allow myself some break time to play the game that both my brother and myself enjoy immensely.

I'm fairly certain that sounded very nerdy. If you stuck with it this long, I applaud you! The moral of the story: Try something new! It could be a chance to bond with a sibling that you're otherwise struggling to relate to!

Live long and prosper and pay more attention to siblings! You'll find that they know you even better than you know yourself at times. :)

Hello again!

Hello minions!

How have you been?

This semester is almost over, so let's celebrate! YAY!!!

Notable things that have happened since my last blog post:

First of all, I ran a 10k! It was great, but I'm pretty sure I never want to run again. Heh. Here's a picture from after the race! Also, I won a 26 pound turkey, so that was exciting! :D

SHINee came out with two new music videos!!! Ahhhhh!!
Tell Me What to Do - https://youtu.be/nchkAmc49p4
and
Winter Wonderland - https://youtu.be/k9orFMMnSKw
Minho has so many lines, and it makes me happy. Their voices are absolutely beautiful. *dies again*

Thanksgiving happened! And so much delicious food was had. Yum.

School has been stressful, as always (reason why I didn't post much last month). But like I said, It's almost over! Yay!!!!!

Remember the bunny that I loved so much? Well, he's in a better place. I loved him so much, and I'm sure he's hopping around in heaven somewhere surrounded by carrots (they were his favorite). Excuse me while I cry again.
*sniffle*

Two and a half weeks left until Pride and Prejudice! If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, here's the link - https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pride-and-prejudice-on-stage-tickets-29289205803?aff=efbevent

I think that's about it, I think! Other than learning my lines, stressing over homework, dancing, and playing Runescape, there isn't much else that's been going on.

Live long and prosper and hang in there! You got this!

Bunny!

A couple weeks ago, my mom, Grace, and I were birthday shopping for my dad. We went to TSC and walked through the pet section, looking for chew toys for our puppy who is going through his rough teenage years. Yikes. There I was, looking at dog food, treats, collars, etc... When suddenly I happened upon bunny treats! Lightbulb! My dad has been talking about a bunny for a really long time, and I couldn't believe I didn't think of it earlier! One problem: where were we supposed to find a bunny in limited time without going to the Springs? Turned out we weren't. The day of my dad's birthday came, and good times were had by all! But I still couldn't shake the idea of a bunny.

A few days passed, and all three of the boys went off to hunt! That meant chick flicks, ice cream, and face masks. I was still thinking about a bunny. When all of the sudden, I looked on Facebook and saw that my mom had tagged me in a post on a sale page: "Bunny needing a new home! He has a head tilt due to an ear infection when he was little, but loves to cuddle!" I low-key freaked out, and immediately fell in love with him. There was no going back.

My mom messaged the owner right away, saying that we'd take him! Yay! The wait until the next day was a bit torturous. I checked the clock about every 3 minutes, wishing it to go faster. Then, FINALLY the time came! Yes! Time to go get my fluffy bunny! Uh, I mean my dad's fluffy bunny.

We arrived, and met our new little friend. He immediately flipped over, letting us rub his stomach. "Yeah, he does that when he's scared..." was the fellow's reply. We loaded the cage and bunny into the car, stopped by TSC again, and picked up some treats for him that I had seen earlier. Then, we made our way home and got him all situated in the rec room! We didn't think he'd do too well with the kitties, but doesn't mind Journey sniffing around and checking him out.

A few days later, the boys came home! Exhausted. We helped them bring stuff in, made some food, and then told my dad about the new addition. He went over immediately, and that was that. We now have a permanent addition to our crazy family! And I love him so much. He flips over less and less and has no problem flipping back over, hopping around, and cuddling. His head tilt doesn't stop him at all! He's the fluffiest little guy, and everything I hoped for. Enjoy the pictures of his fluffy self! And if you ever want to meet him, I'm sure he loves visitors. ;)

Live Long and Prosper and if the opportunity allows, always get a bunny.

Halloween Party!

Yesterday (November 5th), was the annual Halloween Lipsync that my best friend's family throws! Aka the highlight of my year.

This year was a bit different, as both Grace and I actually planned WAY ahead of time for what song and costumes we were going to do (crazy, right)? We ended up lipsyncing "Okey Dokey Yo" by Mino and Zico (Kpop song), and it couldn't have gone any more perfectly! It did take a lot of long, frustrating hours to learn the Korean song and attempt to be swaggy, but in the end it was absolute perfection. After we performed, my hands were shaking half from nervousness, and half from the exhilaration of performing something so epic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn6gCkKVHXc <<<<< Link to the little snippet of our rap. Ahhh. I need to perform more.

As far as costumes go, we were Star Trek characters! Yay! I was in Engineering (red), and Grace was sciences (blue). Think Spock and Scotty as far as costumes except the female versions.

After lipsyncs were over (we got 3rd place! Yay), there was dancing. Like crazy, freestyle, kpop, hip hip, techno dancing. I haven't danced that hard in SO long, and wow do I want to do it more! They played a lot of Kpop that we all knew the dances to and it was just perfect. Can I say the word perfect any more? XD This was the first year that I've been able to do some free styling, so it was SUPER fun. :3

We then cut out a bit early from the party, and headed over to the home school dance that happened to be on the same night. We just caught the last 10-ish minutes, but it was great seeing everyone, dancing a bit more (can you tell I love to dance??), and socializing outside of the usual setting. Overall, lots of fun!

Oh, yes. Then we came home, blared even more Kpop, and danced even more. There was a lot of dancing that night, okay? Gideon spent the night at a friend's house, so Grace and I slept in the living room and watched a movie until about 2. But it was only 1 because of daylight savings ending, right??

I'm a bit exhausted today and have more school to do than is believable. But this weekend was definitely worth it.

Live long and prosper and don't be afraid to dance your heart out! :D

Child at Heart

I recently read a Facebook article (I'm a sucker for them) titled "Things you shouldn't own over the age of 30." Now, I read it thinking that it would be things practical things or things to get rid of in order to have a simpler, happier life. I was wrong. It was mostly things that were considered too "juvenile" for a 30 year old. What even?

Some people (like the person who wrote this, I suppose), obviously prefer a "mature" life. But what's the fun in that? There were two categories of things that apparently you shouldn't own over the age of 30:

Things that made sense: Cheap makeup (Yes, I think by that time it's a good idea to find some good makeup), an unreliable car, bad hair care products, things from your ex, My Little Pony stuff, etc...

But then there were the things where I made the face of "what? Why can't I have that?": Hamsters (Hamsters? What? It's really a bad thing if you have a hamster??), bean bag chairs (I'm not even going to talk about these. Everyone should have a beanbag chair), concert posters (If I've gone to an epic concert, you bet I'm going to display the concert poster as a main focal point), and so on.

I'm not going to say everything that was on there (the link is below if you really want to read the whole thing), but I was appalled.

I'm personally a child at heart. I can be mature when I need to be, and I can have intelligent, meaningful conversation. But deep down (okay, not REALLY deep down), I still love playing with Legos, watching Barbie movies (don't judge), going into the American Girl store whenever life allows, and singing along to every Disney song that comes on anywhere. Is this a bad thing? Not at all in my opinion.

My best friend's family is a perfect example of this outlook on life (they vlog, and they're great. Their YouTube name is The Dale Tribe, btw). I go over there, and it's okay to be playful and laugh and sit in their GIANT beanbag chair (I'm jealous too, it's okay), and watch Barbie movies late into the night. And guess what? They're about the happiest, most carefree family that I know. Sure they have their troubles, as all people do, but they decide to always look at the positive, playful side of everything. Which I admire incredibly much. (I love you, Dales!!!)

Back to being a kid at heart, there's nothing wrong with loving thing that aren't for your "age group." Whoever invented that terrible rule is obviously someone that I wouldn't want to EVER hang around.

More about this later, but I'm about to watch some cheesy Disney shows.

Live long and prosper, but always be a child at heart.

Korean Market!

This past weekend, all the boys went hunting, and all us girls stayed home. It was so quiet! Wow! On Saturday, we spent the day in Colorado Springs going to a HUGE antique shop, Goodwill, Jersey Mike's, L&L, and my personal favorite, the Korean Market. I hadn't been before *gasp*, and I was dying to see what it was like.

We pulled up, and the wonderful smells were already making me extremely happy. With the workers chattering to each other in Korean, the smell of fish and Kimchi, and the wonderful foods filling every corner of the store, I was completely overwhelmed in that magical kind of way. I've never wanted to go to a country than I want to go to Korea.

After looking at every item on every shelf, here's what we ended up with:

Seaweed, of course. I personally only like it with Kimbap, but other members of my family LOVE to eat it straight. :)

Ottogi Curry Powder.
I've never tried it, but I love curry so I'm sure it'll be amazing. Yummmmm!
The best kind of ramen: Chapagetti!
It's thick and extremely savory and perfect. Once you have it, there's no going back.
Sweet Bean Paste!
To be eaten on ice cream, pancakes, inside mochi, and so much more.
Samancho ice cream fish things!
These were one of our favorites in Hawaii, and we kinda low-key freaked out when we found them at the Korean market. They're sweet waffle-sort of batter-ish thing on the outside (it's good, I promise), and then there's vanilla ice cream and sweet bean paste on the inside. The most perfect combination that has ever existed, tbh.
Chinese Quince Tea?
It's a jelly texture and has bits of quince in it. You stir it into hot or cold water and it makes tea, apparently. Has anyone ever tried this? If you have, please let me know.
Face masks!!!
It is a well-known fact that Korea has some of the best beauty products ever. And face masks are my favorite! They make your skin smooth and soft, and moisturize like no product that I've seen before. Plus they make you look really funny which is also a plus. Haha! Out of curiosity, I tried the snail one last night, and it's my favorite.  Slightly slimy, but it made my skin look so good!

Also, as we were checking out, there was a Korean lady who was impressed that I'm learning the language and watch Kdramas and make Kimbap. It sorta made my day. 😄

That's all, folks! I hope to explore more Korean markets throughout Colorado Springs and compare prices and such. But until then...

Live long and prosper and 사랑해❤

Pepero Day

Hello!

Pepero day is in less than a month!!! I didn't know about this holiday until just now, but I may be celebrating it. Like the video says, it's a day where you exchange Pepero to show love or affection. It's like Valentine's day but not. The thought is that if you eat a Pepero snack on November 11th (the numbers look like Pepero), then you'll be skinny. A silly superstition, but hey! That's apparently how it started.

Who doesn't need another excuse to eat Pepero? (For the less-informed people out there, Pepero is like Pocky but slightly thicker and Korean.) I've personally never had it, but Pocky is one of my favorites.

I will be going to the Korean market and attempting to find some! I have a feeling that it's amazing. :)

Also, EXO is in this video, and I love them. Hehe.

Live long and prosper and enjoy Pepero day (November 11th)!!

Life update!

Hullo! How have you been? Life been treating you well? Giving yourself enough breaks from school? Doing recreational things that bring you happiness? I do hope so! Life's been crazy over here, and I hope I have more chances to post in the future.

I started training for a 10K that is taking place in November, so that's exciting! Running is hard, but oh so rewarding. I'm feeling pretty good about it! I'm sure there will be hard days, but I know it'll be worth it in the end. :)

I also have a math test on Wednesday, but who wants to hear about that? Actually, nobody. Heh.

ALSO! I only have 2 episodes left in season 5 of Once Upon a Time!!! AHHHHH!!! It's been so terribly sad so far, so hopefully the ending is at least a little hopeful. I'm still in love with Hook, tbh.

What else......

Oh! I'm going to start buckling down and learn Korean more consistently in the near future! I have a book that I'm going to order soon and I'm hoping it'll help a lot.

Can you tell I'm really hopeful? :D

Anywho,

Live long and prosper and be sure to have some hope! Hope can be found in even the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light.

Star Trek

These last couple of days, Grace and I have rediscovered the old Star Trek. Let me tell you, it's so amazing! If you haven't seen any of the old episodes, I highly suggest that you do. And while you're at it, please watch Mission Impossible and the A-Team (all the old TV shows, not the new movies). They're so good in that slightly bad kind of way. Especially the special effects in Star Trek. Heh.

I used to watch Star Trek when I was a lot younger, but I had no idea what was going on and couldn't really get into it (imagine tiny me with Twizzlers in my hand, walking around saying "Beam me up, Scotty!" or "Captain, that's highly illogical". That really happened... Good times). Because I never could follow an entire episode, I never really considered myself a Trekkie. Do I now? Not quite yet. But I'm definitely getting there!

My mom is a Trekkie, and that is just the coolest thing ever in my opinion. She knows so many unexpected facts and trivia about the series, and used to watch it when she was little. I aspire to be like her. My older brother also knows everything there is to know about Star Trek. He's watched all the newer ones (Next Generation, Voyager, etc...), too. #impressed

So, the next time you have recreational time (I know it's a very rare thing), try investing it into a new show. You never know when it may become your favorite. :)

Live long and prosper!
Wow! My ending actually matched what I was talking about! *high-fives self*

Pride and Prejudice

Hello, minions!

I am currently sitting at play practice watching Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet run lines. It reminds me just how much I love this play and love story! *sighs* Pride and Prejudice was my first Jane Austin book that I read, and since then I've been in love with everything of that time period. :) If only life was as simple as it was back then. Alas.

Live long and prosper and read Pride and Prejudice!

SHINee 샤이니 1 of 1 Music Video

GUYS!!! IT'S OUT! AHHHHH! :D I love this so much. I've waited so long, and I am seriously impressed with their choreography. And how about Minho's rap (silver hair)??? Ahhhhh! This video proves why they're my favorite. Now I just need the dance version so that I may learn the dance. PEOPLE I'M STILL FREAKING OUT OVER HERE!!! It's already #1 on a ton of music charts and I couldn't be more proud! I now need to finish listening to the rest of their album. I'm sure I'll love it just as much! Saranghae! Fighting! <3

Also, Onew doesn't dance in the video, and I know that must have killed him. :'(

Enjoy the overly 90's vibe and awesome dance skills of this music video!

Sorry for the above sentences that weren't really sentences. I'm kinda low-key freaking out over here.

Live long and prosper and LISTEN TO THE SONG!

No, I mean like right now. Seriously. Listen to it. You won't regret it.

Homecoming

Let's talk homecoming. A night where all your dreams come true, you dance the night away, and your crush finally has the nerve to ask you to dance! Haha, not really... More like a night where getting dressed is the most fun part, you wait outside in the freezing cold for an hour to get in, profane music is blared, your crush isn't even there, and the only dancing that goes on is jumping up and down. So, why all the hype? I imagine if you have a boyfriend or really close friends to go with, then it has potential to be a really fun night. However, if you're like me, it ends up being a lot of standing around. Which is terribly unfortunate. I guess it's one of the woes of public school. Or something like that. Anywho... Despite the negative comments that were made above, I went twice. The first time was a lot of fun, and the second, not so much (nothing against who I was going with, it was just the mood I was in, I think). So, here are some pictures of last homecoming (2015). Enjoy!

The theme was "Decades", so I went with 40's. It was so impossible to find a dress that was 40's style! It took forever. Wow. But I ended up completely in love with my look. And I taler wore it to a home school dance. :)

If you haven't gathered it already, it's very hard for me to be serious. Like ever. Unless it's at my funeral. In which case, it took everything I had not to laugh at my husband kneeling in front of my grave (these are all Our Town references. Please don't be disturbed).

Due to transferring laptops, these are the only two pictures I have at the moment. When I find more, I'll probably post them. :)

Live long and prosper and avoid homecoming unless you get asked, have friends to go with, or just enjoy large crowds of people pretending they can dance.

Oh, and Happy Monday! :D

I Play my Soccer in the Rain

Whoever said sunshine is happiness has obviously never played soccer in the rain.

But seriously, I played soccer today and it was the best thing in the entire world. I always forget just how much I love it until I'm out on the field, running my very hardest, falling down, drenched in sweat, dead tired, and smiling through it all. Could it get any better? It can. When it rains. Ahh! So, take that above list, and add "soaked to the bone, slipping everywhere, barely able to see, and slightly freezing" to it, and you have soccer today.

I admit, I get very competitive when I play. Oh, you thought I was a nice, caring person? Take me to the soccer field, put me in a co-ed game, and see what happens. It's not pretty. I mean, I'm still nice... I'll just probably accidentally trip at least 2 people, step on numerous people's feet, shoot a ball a little too hard with poor aim and hit somebody, etc... You know. The usual.

I don't know how I survive without it. It's the air I've been breathing since I was so tiny. I love it almost as much as Chick-fil-a and ice cream. And that's saying a LOT. So please, enjoy some pictures of mini me playing soccer through the years. :)

One of my first soccer leagues. I was probably about 7 or 8 here. Actually, I still have the trophy sitting on my windowsill. It's been in my various rooms ever since we won that tournament. In a previous season, we had a tournament that was held on probably the coldest day of the year. It was sleeting, snowing, hailing, snowing, you name it, it was probably happening that day. There was a HUGE puddle in the middle of the field, and mud everywhere. I still remember it as being one of the best soccer games that I've played, even though I was a tiny, little person.

Not quite a tiny picture, but this was the only other one I could find. I was 13-ish here, I think. We won almost every game we played that season, and I made my record number of goals in one game: 8. Granted, we were supposedly the best team, and that score was against the no-so-great team, but I was terribly proud. Ahhh, good times, good times.

Anywho, that's all about soccer for now! There will be, no doubt, another soccer post in the future (or 500), so never you fear. :)

Live long and prosper, and do play more soccer, okay?

Odd Questions and Odd Answers

Hello!

Today, I will be answering odd questions that my friend, Dr. Elemis Pott. came up with and posted on her blog (blueboxinthebasement.blogspot.com). :) This should be fun! So, kick back, relax, and enjoy getting to know some odd things about me.

Question 1.  What book/movie character represents you when you are acting evil?
Ever saw a movie where a character acts like a jerk, yet you know you would have done the same thing?
Hmmm. This one is so impossibly hard. I would have to say someone along the lines of Sauron. I, too, attempt to take over the world when I'm feeling evil.

Question 2.  You have two months to live.  What do you do in those two months?
Travel the world, help people whenever possible, enjoy life to the greatest extent.

Question 3.  What is that thing you always have with you, that no one else thinks is a necessity but you feel lost without?
My R2D2 umbrella. Everyone is surprised that I carry it everywhere, but you never know when it might rain!Question 4.  You are lost alone in the wilderness, and you know that this forest is infested with cannibals.  Who would you be most happy to have come and save you?
Anyone, really. As long as I don't get eaten... Actually, my mom spent a summer in Papua New Guinea where there were cannibals, so I think I would most like her to rescue me.
Question 5.  What smell or sound makes you happy?
Then think about why it makes you happy.
The smell of our house during Christmas. There is so much baking that goes on, and everything smells like peppermint, gingerbread, and chocolate. There is also Christmas music playing over the speakers, with the same CD's that we've had our entire lives. It's magical.

Question 6.  You have to choose between dancing alone on stage in front of hundreds of people, or start a conversation with your crush.  Which do you choose?
And why?
Well, I've done both of those things, and I must say that the dancing part is a bit more exhilarating (sorry, crush!). There's something about being alone on a stage doing a performance while everyone is watching. Ahhh. I love that feeling more than anything.Question 7.  You suddenly find yourself tragically without a family and without a home.  If you could decide, who would you choose to adopt you as your new family?  Or would you want to live alone?
Poor family and home! I would probably choose to have my best friend, Kookie's family adopt me. They're amazing and I pretty much already live over there. :)Question 8.  What smell or sound makes you sad?
The songs that I've done dances to always manage to make me sad and sentimental. As for a smell, I can really get into the "sad feeling" right after it's rained.Question 9.  What movie/book character represents you when you are being virtuous and heroic?
There are very few book characters that I actually like, so this is much harder for me than it should be. I'll get back to you.Question 10.  Is there something dorky that you think is cool and wish was socially acceptable?
Well, there are a lot of things that I wish were socially acceptable, but none of them are really dorky. A lot of people don't appreciate jokes and references to shows/movies/literature. Not quite dorky, but there needs to be more appreciation. Question 11.  What's better, a Chick-fill-a sandwich, or a fancy green nutritious lunch?
Hint:  The answer is always Chick-fill-a.
Remember how I've said how much I love ice cream in the past? Well, the same goes for Chick-fil-a. Oh, goodness. I love it so much. So much. Question 12. If you could make up how the rest of your year would go, how would it go?
Well, there would be amazing grades on all school assignments, more sleep, and I would graduate next semester. I would also travel a lot and have more down-time. Oh, and eat more Chick-fil-a. Question 13.  If you could choose your death, how would you die?
I'm sorry, but I must share an answer I received when my friend asked this to another friend.  He hummed and put his hand to his chin and then looked up and said, "I'd like to have Alzheimers and go sky diving."
It was a slightly disturbing response, but incredible how he came up with something so cleaver so fast.
Please forgive me.
I would die a heroic death, saving somebody. Or doing something that's crazy but brings me a lot of happiness.

Question 14.  How are you?
This might be the hardest question to answer honestly.  "Good" is not an answer.  That's not even grammatically correct!  (I only know this because I have a smart family).  Once, after a relaxation exercise, my drama teacher answered this question by saying, (in her New Zealand accent) "Well, everyone is going to say relaxed, so I'm going to say that I feel like the hum of a guitar string right after it's been plucked." And she beamed with pride.  I have to say I was blown away with this response.  (I'm not saying your answer has to be that poetic).
Well, last time I checked I still have all of my limbs, I can still breath, and I'm currently binge-watching a Chinese Drama that I discovered yesterday, so I have to say that My life is fairly great at the moment. How about you?

Question 15.  You were selected to fight in the Hunger Games.  What do you do?  Do you try to win?
Sorry.  This is a depressing question.  If you don't know the Hunger Games, don't even answer.
I would hide, stay on the defensive, but if someone attacked, I would be okay with doing what needed to be done to stay alive as long as possible.
Question 16.  Why are you still reading this?
You have better things to do.  Go do some push-ups and come back.
You're right. I have play practice to get ready for. 안녕!
Question 17.  As a school project, you are given a peace of paper, a pen, a dark room, and fifteen minutes to write anything you want.  What do you write?
I would probably try to write something all deep about my surroundings or something, but end up doodling instead.

And that concludes the odd questions with odd answers! Thank you for sticking with it and learning some weird facts about me!! Hope you have a great rest of your day!

Live long and prosper and do something productive with your life other than marathoning dramas. Oops.

SHINee Comeback!!!!!

Hello again, minions!

First of all, I shall share the most exciting news ever! SHINee is having a comeback on October 5th!!!! AHHHH!! (Human terms: my favorite Korean pop group is releasing a new album on October 5th!) It was supposed to come out in September, but they had to delay it, most likely because of Onew's sprained ankle. (Human terms: The leader sprained his ankle and couldn't dance for a while, most likely). BUT I AM DYING OF EXCITEMENT!!! AHHHHHH!!!! So, enjoy this picture of them and gaze upon their perfectness... *sighs*
From left to right:
Back Row:
Taemin - Maknae (or youngest) of the group, but by far the best dancer; perhaps ever.
Minho - Also called "Flaming Charisma Minho", my absolute bias (favorite) of the group and all Kpop idols ever. He's the rapper, and is absolutely perfect (he also plays soccer). <3 Also, my best friend and her family call me "Minho" due to Kookie and I having the same name...
Key - Also called "Diva Key", the most dramatic, fashion-crazed of the group. He is my least favorite of the group, but I still like him a lot.
Front Row:
Onew - The leader of the group. He's clumsy, breaks stuff, and is absolutely hilarious. He has the most unique voice ever, and is a main vocalist.
Jonghyun -  The main vocalist. His range is incredible so, if there's a high note in a song, that's probably him. He also writes a lot of the lyrics for their songs.

And there you have it! Brief profiles of the fellows who have taken over my life and brought me all kinds of happiness. Here's to many more comebacks, happy times, concerts, and wishing I lived in Korea...

Busiest Weekend of my Life

Hello again, minions!
How have you been? Has life been treating you well? I do hope so! :)

Here's what has been going on in my life this past weekend:

Thursday: Drive down to the Springs, drop off mom and brother, buy gas and food in a hurry, RUSH to play practice, drive back into town to hang up fliers and buy a cupcake for my best friend Kookie's birthday. Return home late and sleep.

Friday: Wake up, make fondant items from Shaun of the Dead for my best friend's birthday party (Okay, there's going to be a lot about her birthday in here because I love her birthday), bake millions of other things for a rummage/bake sale that is happening Saturday, finish the scavenger hunt for Kookie's birthday. Pick up a blindfolded Kookie and drive her to the Springs to do the scavenger hunt (Which was so much fun! :D). Return late after a quick trip to Walmart and stay up until 2AM to finish baking and prep for tomorrow.

Saturday: Wake up at 5 (that's right, folks. 3 hours of sleep), load the car with a brave friend who was so kind as to wake up crazy early to help tote stuff to the rummage sale, arrive and start setting up, more people arrive to help, stand in the freezing cold all day (it wasn't THAT cold, but still. It was pretty darn cold), deliver cupcakes to Kookie for her party, return to rummage sale. Pack up remaining stuff and drop it off at Goodwill, go to Taco Bell and Walmart to buy presents for Gideon's birthday, get dropped off at Kookie's house, play Lords of Water Deep, greet people as they arrive for her party, talk to people, socialize with awesome new kpop-obsessed people (Yay!), eat pizza and cupcakes. Head to the theatre at 9 for a showing of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (which was great, by the way), eat lots of popcorn, return to Kookie's at 11 and crash around 12.

Sunday (Gideon's birthday!): Wake up at 9:45, talk to Kookie's awesome sister, bake chocolate almond scones with Kookie's sister while everyone is at church, get picked up after putting real pants on (this is a very important event), go fishing with younger brother, mum and dad, put bait on everyone's hooks because I don't have a fishing licence yet. *Everyone caught a fish and Gideon caught two! I'd like to think that it was my bait that caught those fish* Return home and finally start on homework that is due Monday, eat the fish that they caught, Gideon opens presents, eat ice cream cake, work on more homework, watch "Something Wicked This Way Comes", note that I have to watch it again because I was doing math while watching it. Go to sleep around 11:30-ish.

Monday: Wake up at 5, go to math, don't understand anything, stress over test on Wednesday. Don't have Psychology, so sit in the library and finish English homework. Wait for English class at 11:30 and in the extra time, write a terribly long blog post that nobody will probably read but makes me feel a little better.

If you stuck with it that long, congratulations! You win a prize! You get an all new, never-before seen......... Smiley face! :D (At least it's a really happy one, right??)

Anywho...
Live long a prosper and happy Monday... I hope it's been the best day of your entire life so far (Did you hear that, Monday? I really need you to pull through for me here...)!

First Day of Fall

First day of Fall!

Fall is one of my favorite seasons other than Summer, Winter, and Spring! Wait...

Anyway, are you ready for chilly weather, pumpkins, leaves changing, bonfires (as long as they don't burn down the state. Heh), cozy evenings, apple cider, warm sweaters, Halloween, and so much more? I know I am!

There's something about the beauty of Autumn that is completely entrancing. Something about the leaves changing and the millions of stars and the warm drinks on a chilly day. Something about sitting around a campfire with friends, roasting marshmallows and laughing over funny stories. Something magical surrounding the world as you take a long walk through changing trees. There's a calm yet exciting feeling in the air throughout the entire season.

Of course, I can't forget about Halloween! Brainstorming for costumes, decorating the house, going to parties (especially the lip-sync party that my best friend and her family always throw), and our long-time tradition of trading candy after all the festivities are over. Speaking of, any ideas for a costume for me this year? Last year was Legolas, which will be extremely hard to top.
^^^ Ignore my "deer in the headlights" facial expression, but this was my Legolas costume! :D

Live long and prosper and I CAN'T KEEP CALM BECAUSE IT'S FALL!!
